INDIAN - Mace Tipton - Bronze marker placed by Umpqua Chapter DAR in 1966 reads: "Mace Tipton, Last of the Umpquas." Private Indian cemetery high on Mt. Scott above the North Umpqua Highway.

INDIAN - aka TYEE - (Near Umpqua in Wolfe Valley) - From Sutherlin exit on I-9 go west on Highway 138. Turn left on County Road 9 (Fort Mckay Rd). At Umpqua store turn right on County Road 33 (Tyee Road) and go 5 or 6 miles. Cemetery is on SW side of Tyee Mt. (T25S R7W S16)

INDIAN - (East of Glide) - From Roseburg take Highway 138 east to 1/2 mile north of Idleyld Store. Private property. (T26S R3W S1/2)

INDIAN - (Near Glide) - In the foothills of Mt. Scott to the west. Two Indians, Stokes and Hymon, are buried there.

INDIAN - (East of Sutherlin) - From Sutherlin, go east on Central Avenue which becomes County Road 19 (Nonpareil Road). Graves are unmarked and on private property. (T25S R4W S10/11)

INDIAN BURIAL GROUND - (North of Yoncalla) - Take Scotts Valley exit from I-5 and go under freeway to west side. Turn north. Graves are unmarked and on private property. (T22S R4W S18)

JAMES, SAMUEL M. - Take Scotts Valley exit from I-5 and go east on County Road 7 (Elkhead Road) to County Road 8 (Scotts Valley Road). Turn left past Elkhead mines - opposite mine on hill called Turkey Hill. He was born 27 Dec 1818 and died 7 June 1867 in a hunting accident. Grave is marked with a stone.

JONES FAMILY - (West of Roseburg) - From I-5 take Garen Valley exit and go west on Garden Valley Blvd. (County Road 6). Turn left on County Road 167 (Melrose Road) and immediately turn left onto Jones Road. Private property. (T27S R6W S10)
