See Harney County Misc. Graves to learn more about Nettie McLaughlin
Just wanted to say "Thanks" for
your web site. I often remember taking a
day trip with my mother about 30-35 years
ago (I'm 40). We lived in Weiser,
Idaho and I know we drove for some hours,
visited a bird sanctuary and
various interesting sites. Anyway my parents
are long gone now and I've
often wondered just where it was we had gone
and wish I could visit the area
again in remembrance of them. The other day
I got ahold of some photos
(lost for 23+ years!) taken on that day.
One of the photos was of Nettie
McLaughlin's grave. You could read the grave
marker in the photo only with
a powerful magnifying glass. A quick search
on Google pulled up your
cemetery/miscgrv.txt file, which details
exactly how to locate that grave.
Now I know about where my mother and I went
decades ago. Might sound stupid
but it's like finding a real treasure to
me!
So thanks!
