Membership


Membership in JGSO is open to all, regardless of religious background or level of experience. Our members range from those just starting to trace their family background to long-time family researchers.

Dues are $23 a year for individuals and $30 a year for a family (January through December). Donations at higher levels help JGSO expand its services and are warmly welcomed. JGSO is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Membership benefits include:

  • One FREE copy of  Getting Started in Jewish  Genealogy: A  Handbook for Beginners , a JGSO publication (paper and/or CD) 
  • Quarterly newsletter, Shalshelet
