Linn County,
was named for Lewis Fields Linn, a senator from the state of
Missouri, who pushed for the development of Oregon as an American
territory, and was instrumental in what became the Donation Land
Claim Act of 1850. The county seat is located at Albany. Linn
Chapter, NSDAR was organized February 3, 1915. The organizing
Regent was Mrs. Levy Tracy.
