Benjamin Hall

Benjamin Hall was born in Indiana in 1820. He married Emily Margaret Hicklin in September 1848, in Indiana, and arrived in Oregon in September 1851. This claim was settled in June of 1853.⁽¹⁾ Benjamin Hall probably died before 1860, when his wife is found alone on the census with the following children:⁽²⁾

	L. F. (Female) Hall, born about 1849 in Indiana.
	John Hicklin Hall, was born July 17, 1855 thirteen miles east of Portland. He married Olive I. Powell on October 18, 1877 at her father's home.⁽³⁾ Olive died November 7, 1893. John had been orphaned at the age of 10, and went to live with first his brother-in-law, and then an uncle. He was a successful lawyer and businessman of Portland.⁽⁴⁾

	Elisabeth Hall, born 1859 in Oregon.
