Will and Mary Wash

Will Wash and Mary Russell (widow of Redin and mother of Larkin Russell), were married in Texas. Their only child, Joe, was born in Texas May 21, 1860.

They came to Oregon in the early 1870ís and settled in the Egypt (Springfield) district. The farm was later purchased by David G. and Edith Miller Butler. Joe Wash married Emma ____ Feb. 14, 1883. They lived in Oregon and Washington. Four sons were born in these two states. After they moved to Montana, 7 more children were born, of which only 4 are living.

Mary Wash died about 1895. Will Wash stayed on his home place until 1908 when he went to Montana to be near his son. He passed away March 12, 1912.

These facts were given to me by Fields Wash. Mary Wash was my great grandmother.
