You will find that we own four state museums, open to the public and maintained to further our mission of patriotism, education and preservation. The Daughters of the American Revolution are all about patriotism, education and historic preservation. We are also about friendship and community service.

DAR membership in Oregon hovers at around 1,700 women; all descendants of a man or woman who aided in the independence of, or the creation of, our government between April 19, 1775 and November 26, 1783. While we are a lineage organization we are also a service organization, providing assistance and opportunities for education to children; we honor the men and women who give to our communities and who have given to our country; we support our active military personnel and their families; we assist the illiterate with tutoring and aid those who are trying to become American citizens. This is a small sample of how all of the Oregon Daughters contribute to the objectives of our national society.
