Greetings from your State Regent to Oregon Daughters!

In 2015 the members of Oregon DAR will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution.  Founded in 1890, the service organization known as the DAR grew quickly in America, reaching Oregon in 1896 with the formation of the Multnomah Chapter in Portland.  Today, Oregon DAR is comprised of approximately 1800 members in 37 chapters across the state.  Our mission is to promote historic preservation through our four museums, encourage education through our youth programs, and celebrate patriotism through our service to our veterans and military personnel.

In Celebration of Oregon DAR,
Cynthia Parnell,
Oregon State Regent
