FROM THE STATE REGENT
Greetings from your State Regent and welcome Oregon Daughters to the
2012-2014 term!
It is exciting to begin a new administration with so many wonderfully
dedicated state officers and state chairmen who are so very eager to
serve our society. We will endeavor to attain our DAR goals in serving
God, Home and Country.
In our efforts we will especially emphasize preservation of our own
Oregon history. The State Regent's Project is to create funding to
promote Historic Preservation by placement of DAR markers at historic
sites throughout the state of Oregon. So I encourage all Daughters and
Chapters to consider particular historic events and sites in your local
communities where special recognition should be given; those which have
not yet been designated by DAR markers. In addition, you may be aware
of
past markers that are in need of repair or replaced.
Let's put our stamp on OREGON, Daughters, while commemorating Oregon's
History!
