 Pvt. Martin Vanburen Dyer

Co. G, 9th Kentucky Infantry

 

   These images show Martin V. Dyer as a veteran at the Kentucky Confederate Home in Pewee Valley, ca. 1906.  Mr. Dyer came to the home 14 May 1906, and died there on 11 July 1909.  Mr. Dyer wore the pants, vest, and hat as a veteran.  The shawl/coverlet and knife and fork were also his, and he may have used these during the war.  These images were provided by Rod Halsey, Mr. Dyer's gt-gt grandson.
