Mr. Tom Laidlaw:
Mr. Tom Laidlaw - Actor, Writer, Historian, and Master Storyteller, holds a BS Degree in Theatre Arts from PSU. His love of history and many treks on the Oregon and other Historic Trails led him to use his acting skills for Historical Interpretation. For the last five years Tom has been a volunteer blacksmith and interpreter at Ft. Vancouver, WA, where he developed the character of William Cannon, the first blacksmith, millwright, and American at the British Ft. Vancouver, Headquarters of the Hudson's Bay Company.

Mr. Laidlaw gave a wonderful performance entitled, "The Life and Times of William Cannon: The only Revolutionary soldier know to be buried in Oregon."
