Olive Tree EXTRA & Olive Tree Genealogy
Olive Tree Genealogy site was created in February 1996 and hosted by RootsWeb.com. In the past 12 years Olive Tree Genealogy has grown so much with its huge FREE databases that I now have two sites - OTE (Olive Tree EXTRA) here on http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/ and OTG (Olive Tree Genealogy) at http://olivetreegenealogy.com
See the lists below for free genealogy transcripts and data on Olive Tree EXTRAs
Special Collections of Ancestor Data |
* LOST FACES is my collection of Family Photo Albums. One of my hobbies is purchasing antique Photo Albums from the 1800s with family pictures, Lost Faces is my way of saving these genealogy treasures and preserving historical documents. I have listed all the photo albums I have saved, along with the list of photos and other documents such as funeral cards, memorial cards, obituaries, Christmas cards, and hand-written genealogies. Includes scans of the photos
* PAPER TRAIL Find Ancestors in Old Documents. It's fascinating to find an old document that describes how many pairs of shoes an ancestor bought for his children, or a receipt from a funeral home for grave-digging and a hearse and pall. We all search for census records, birth certificates, marriage records, and death certificates. The ancestor documents I'm collecting for researchers are varied - land grants, Civil War enlistment papers, military pay lists, receipts for items bought and sold, funeral expenses, court and legal documents, slave records, tax bills, receipts, indentures, etc. Includes scans of the actual documents.
