Missouri became a state on Aug. 10, 1821. It had been part of a larger territory and parts of it were still known as Missouri Country until 1854

for Jefferson County, MO. We call this "Clerc's Specifics" because Kay's maiden name was Clerc (pronounced Clair) and one of her Ggrandfather's products was called Clerc's Specific. With Kay's permission, they are
