Hanover Twp. 1815 Tax Lists

Hanover Twp. lies in the southwest corner of the county, south of the Ohio River; it borders Allegheny and Washington Counties and the panhandle of West Virginia. It is one of the original townships of the county and had been part of Washington County prior to 1800. In 1812, Greene County had been separated from Hanover. Frankfort Springs is the only town of any size; villages include Murdocksville, Harshaville and Comettsburg.
