Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery

Independence Twp*., Beaver Co., Pa.
(*this cemetery is in Hanover Twp.  near the Independence Twp. line.  The title is as it appeared in 1993 Gleanings)

Mark H. Welchley

Mt. Olivet Church was organized in 1875 with 53 charter members. The church is located along modern route151 and the cemetery is situated near the church. The following list of burials at Mt. Olivet was taken from the files at the Resource & Research Center. The name of the compiler and the date of transcription is unknown. The latest burial date is 1972. Although the listing of stones is alphabetical, the author used a system ("1 & 1a") to refer to names found on the same grave marker and reference numbers ("#3") to show relationships between individuals. The compiler does speculate on some relationships based on stone positions and inscriptions; these comments are bracketed as [ ]. Such speculations may be accurate but the reader should be cautious. My own comments are bracketed as { }. Our copy has no stone numbers 223 - 228 and there may be a page missing.
