Butler County Estate Index

1800-1910+

This estate index of Butler County, covering the years of 1800-1910, has been compiled from the estate index at the Butler County Courthouse.  No claim is made to this index being a complete compilation of all estates in Butler County during those years, but it should have most of them that are available.  As of this time, this work has not been proofread.  It is being posted here merely as an aid to give one direction in the search for their ancestors.  By clicking on the link at the bottom of this page, you may send an email to request a copy of the papers contained in the estate file.  When requesting these files, you should include the file number & name (Example A4 Adams Thomas)  as well as your mailing address. 

Copies cost 25 cents per page plus postage.  We have found that Estates can be anywhere from 1 page to over 400 pages long.  There is no way for us to estimate the cost of any estate you request before we make the copies.  You may state a limit on the amount of pages we copy before we start if you'd like - please include that limit with your request.  We will let you know how many more pages are available beyond your limit when we make the copies.  Total payment due and cost of postage will be emailed after the copies are made.
