MINING DISPLAY AT GALLAGHER HOUSE
Do you want to go on a spring jaunt to learn more about the history of the area? Why not visit the Gallagher House and see a display of mining artifacts?
Highlights of the display include:
<> A battery-powered telephone from Vesta 5 mine.
<> Framed collection of badges, decals and stickers used in the mining industry.
<> A model locomotive, whittled from soft pine, by John ADAMS, similar to ones used to pull the coal cars from the mine.
Thank you, Bob NARCHUS, a former Bethlehem Mine training supervisor, for your assistance in arranging the display.
