The Keiper School - Adams Twp. Items provided by Don Hostetler |
In the early 1900's it was apparently the custom for teachers to provide their students a "Souvenir" the end of the school year These items typically include the teacher's name, the name of the school, some "inspirational" comments or poetry and a listing of the students names.
Shown below are examples from the Keiper School - 1904, 1906, 1910 and the 1910-1911 school year. The 1904-05 item was simply the card shown and did not list students names.
The Keiper School is believed to have been located in the vicinity of Krayn or Llanfair.
