The first group of students to attend a high school education program in
Richland Township. Up until the 1917-18 term, when the school
district set up a two year high school course in temporary facilities.
Township students could, if they wished education beyond eighth
grade, had to go to another school district. After the 1917-18 term
a wooden high school building became available in Geistown (along Lamberd
