SALUTE TO THE CHRISTIAN FLAG
SOLO-- "Lest We Forget" ............................................................................................................
G. S. Stephens
PRAYER IN UNISON (People seated)
Eternal God, we thank Thee for the day of rest. We pray that Thy
peace may be given unto all Thy worshipping people today no matter
where they may be, Lift everyone above the cares and irritations
of each day and deliver us all from the noise and confusion of
this troubled world. Let us hear above the din as the battle rages
the angel song and greater still, Thy strong commanding voice
above the angry waves of life's fretful and restless sea, saying,
"Peace, be still."
We pray especially in these confused times for the grace of considerateness.
Deliver us all in these perilous times from the thoughtlessness
that is unintentional yet cruel. Let us not as a nation follow
our own ends so as to bruise our neighbors in the way. Teach us
Thy statutes and lead us into their secret purpose and meaning
and then enable us to obey Thee with intelligent spirits.
Breathe the sweetness of Thy life into everyone fallen by the
way and none more so than those who fall in battle that we may
live.
Let Thy lovely life be like the dew and the sweet fragrance of
lovely flowers to all who carry heavy loads. Touch every heart
bowed down with sorrow and suffering with Thy healing hands and
cause Thy compassion to work so effectively as to restore and
heal all who are sick whether in body, mind or soul.
Be with our enemies as well as with us, but show them their blindness,
their ignorance, their folly and futility in what they are attempting
to do. Grant us victory and peace and yet save us from doing wrong
even when we have won the victory.
Bless all those present who have loved ones anywhere in this conflict.
Help us to be able to say victoriously no matter what we must
face, "Thy will de done."
Amen.

Should any names be inadvertantly missed, it is omitted unintentionally or the name was received too late for publication. Photos of some of the lads appear elsewhere in the book.
The following names are of the boys from the United Brethren Church. Their names appear on the Honor Roll, therefore they are insrted in this book as an act of courtesy.

The following pages contain photographs of some of the boys
from this charge. They are not placed alphabetically, but are
placed so that families and their relations may be on one page
if possible. Should any of the boys who come back after the conflict
is over and peace is restored not find their photos on any of
these pages, I want for them to know that no responsibility rests
with me. I did everything in my power to get all the boys from
this charge included in these pages. I'm very sorry they are not
found among this large group, however, should unfortunately be
missed, it is not done intentionally.
