GREINADER - Monsignor Linford F., 78, Johnstown, died
July 29, 1997, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born Sept. 17,
1918, in St. Lawrence, son of late Frank J. and Coleda C. (Gill)
Greinader. Graduate of St. Francis Seminary in 1943. Ordained
May 8, 1943, at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral by Bishop Guilfoyle.
First church assignment at Sacred Heart, Altoona, 1943 to 1947.
Chaplain at Mercy Hospital, Altoona, 1947 to 1951. Teacher at
Altoona Catholic High School and principal at Johnstown Catholic
High School (Bishop McCort) 1951 to 1963. Appointed pastor of
Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in 1963, and served until
his retirement in 1993. Appointed Monsignor by Pope Paul VI in
1973. Diocesan Consultor and Judge of Marriage Tribunal. Member
of K. of C., Council 4604, and All Saints Assembly 467. Active
in Cursillo Movement. Received Prince Gallitzin Cross (1994).
Honorary degree from St. Francis College. Friends received from
2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel,
1622 Menoher Blvd. Transferal service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday
and visitation continues at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church
until 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11
a.m. Saturday, Diocesan Bishop The Most Rev. Joseph V. Adamec,
D.D., S.T.L., celebrant. Interment, St. Lawrence Cemetery, St.
Lawrence. Donations maybe made to Our Mother of Sorrows School.

F. Greinader (1918-1997). Knights of Columbus will recite the
Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Wake service 8
