Amos' name on his tombstone in the Boalsburg Cemetery is Moyer, altough it has variously been spelled Meyer and Myers.
Amos served with the 148th Regt., Pennsylvania Volunteers, and was killed in battle at Gettysburg.
He is the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Weaver) Myers, who were the parents of 13 children: Amos, John, Mary, Sarah C., William J., Daniel M., Wesley, J. Frederick, George, Calvin, Henry F. and Adaline as well as an unnamed child.
Some of the descendants of Amos' siblings have been known to pay their respects to their dear Uncle Amos.
