Query: Leo George HELFRICH Sr was born in PA (probably CENTRE County). He married Margaret King (born in MO). They had at least one son named Leo George HELFRICH born on 30 Sep 1881 in PA. I am trying to find the actual date of birth for Leo George HELFRICH Sr. Is there a PA Death Index that would perhaps show his date of death? Thank you in advance. Chris

Query: snail mail: 47 Buttonwood St., Lambertville NJ 08530 Hi.....Your site is wonderful. I'm looking for any info on my great- grandfather Denis MALLEY who lived both in Snowshoe Twp and Mahaffey from about 1878 through 1896. He was a section foreman on the Bells Gap Railroad according to tax records. He lived in Mahaffey but the house was in his wife's name (I've seen the house). The house was auctioned to pay past debts when Denis' wife died in 1890. He disappeared entirely around 1895. I wondered if he might show up in any Catholic cemetery records in the vicinity or in neighboring counties. Also....his 2nd daughter Mary Ellen Malley was born in 1883 in Showshoe Twp. I'd like to have her baptismal record (Catholic) if possible. Can anyone help???????

Query: MC ELHENIE/EAKIN - Centre Co. I am researching Thomas McElhenie (also spelled McElheny, McElhennie) who was born in Huntingdon Co, PA in 1787. He married Margaret Eaken (or Eakin) from Centre Co on December 12, 1812. Her father was the youngest of eleven brothers. Thomas and Margaret lived for 15 years on one of the many farms owned by James Duncan in Penn's Valley. In the winter, Thomas carried on trade between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, crossing the mountains. They had nine children (2 died in infancy): William, John, Margaret C., Elizabeth K., James, E., Thomas J., and Jane. In 1834, they moved to Ohio. I would appreciate any information on the family of Margaret Eaken and/or McElhenie.
