Looking for any information on John and Agnes JAMISON both born about 1780 - place unknown. Noted moving into Centre County, Pa., around 1806. John JAMESON (note JAMESON spelling) listed in 1810 U.S. Census from Centre County. Does anyone have information on this family?? These were the first JAMISON's to move into Centre County. John followed the family tradition and was noted to be a Presybeterian minister ... as were others to follow. His wife Agnes is the daughter of Mr. BOGGS ... whom Boggs Township was named after. Suspect John to be the Grandson of John JAMESON of Donegal Township, Cumberland County, Lancaster, Pa. --- not sure ??? ((justification: John BOGGS and John JAMESON both are noted moving across Pa. together ... with a small group of other Scotch-Irish who were Presybeterians. Also believe the elder John JAMESON to also be a Presy. mininster.))) Does anyone have information on the JAMISON family of Centre County?
