Query: CORNMESSER, ELDER, PEARY, FINK, LAMBORNE, MEASE William CORNMESSER married Catherine Jane ELDER at Bald Eagle in 1843 and they resided in Halfmoon Twp. at the time of her death. John W. PEARY and wife Adeline also resided there at that time. Around 1860 Catherine Jane and John W. PEARY died. Adeline PEARY and William CORNMESSER married Jan 18, 1863. I have no date of death on William CORNMESSER but Adeline died in 1906 at the Pa Lunatic Asylum in Harrisburg from complications of old age. Adeline'S obituary stated she was taken to the home of her son J.W. PEARY in Tyrone. At the time of her death she was survived by her son J.W. and Mrs. KEPHARDT, Fanie HOBBA and Charles PEARY of Osceola Mills, Mrs Rose FLINN of Bismark, North Dakota, Anna MATTS of Philipsburg and a sister in Los Angeles, California, Lydia OSMAN. My search has not provided me with the wherabouts of these children and I hope if they have family surviving they may be able to help me find a date of William CORNMESSER. A daughter of William and Catherine Jane CORNMESSER, Juliana married John W. FINK, son of John Spear FINK in Bellewood, Blair Co., Pa. on September 30, 1844. Juliana was born in Port Matilda Sept. 30, 1844. They moved to Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., Pa., and lived near her brother, my great grandfather, George Washington CORNMESSER born in Centre Co. March 4, 1855. A sister Margaret married a Mr. HILL and moved to Garland, Pa. as did a brother, William CORNMESSER. Adeline was the daughter of Ephriam LAMBORNE and Sallie FLERGLE GRAY a widow and Sallie's parents were Valentine FLERGLE who lived in Cumberland, Maryland at the time of Adeline's marriage to George? GRAY of Warriors Mark. Any information on decendants of these families or knowledge of the named persons will be greatly appreciated in hopes of obtaining information on what happened to William and the other children of his family. I have been doing research on my family for some time now and am at a block. I am unable to find out who Henry PLETCHERs parents were. I have three family histories but I am unable to find the records of Henry PLETCHER marriage to a Anna or Catherine STAYMEN or STERNAMAN. I am uncertain if she was alive when Henry moved to Centre county. I have seen his name in tax records and militia records in the Pa. arcives but nothing proves he married a STAYMAN or STERNAMAN. If any one out their knows how I can find these records or if someone has already done this I would appreciate any information. I don't know how accurate the family records are, some of them I had information that was exactly the same other info was inacurate only in the dates. I have requested the Centre county genealogy society accept me for membership. I do plan on visiting your county this summer but would like to have a running start before I get there. Anna BUCKEYE was born around 1890. Her parents were from a small village in Czechslovakia near the Russian border; Joseph BUCKEYE was born in Osceola Mills on March 23, 1886. His mother was killed by lightening that struck their house when he was only 9 years old (around 1885).
