Reuben Hunter and his wife Ellen (Brisbin) Hunter are buried in the Boalsburg Cemetery with several of their family members.
Reuben is the son of William and Sarah (Evans) Hunter, who were the parents of 11 children: Evans, Reuben, Josiah, Rachel, Jesse, Eleazer, Andrew, Eliza Jane, Martha, Mary and John C.
Reuben and Ellen had at least nine children: Margaret E., William E., Sarah Jane (Jennie), Emma E., Thomas V., George J., Anna B., Dora S., and Mary E. Some of the descendants of Dr. Reuben Hunter have been known to pay respects to their noted ancestor.
