George King and then his son, Abraham King, were the sextons of St. Peter's, Pikeland from 1826 to 1877. While they kept a list of their burials, the first 118 have no dates recorded. Using other sources, I have attempted to give a date for these burials. In some cases, it is unclear whether the date is the date of death, or the date of the burial. There are certainly gravestones in the cemetery for people who were not recorded on the sextons' list. Many people recorded on the sextons' list have nothing in the cemetery marking the location of their grave. Note that while the 1826 burials are in order by date, from 1827 to 1831, burials are recorded out of order. They appear to have been written in at some time other than that of the actual burial.

7.    A gravestone in the cemetery - William Fiss, died Febry. 27th 1827, in the 5th year of his age.
8.    ** This has for some time been a great mystery to me. The Widow Emery was undoubtedly Elisabeth (Haas), relict of George Emery,
        whose funeral (per St. Peter's Lutheran Church Records) was on the 25th of April, 1828. However, this woman's broken gravestone
        is, at least now, at Charlestown Presbyterian Graveyard.
9.    A gravestone in the cemetery - Elizabeth Latshaw, died November 24th 1829, aged 17 years 5 months and 24 days.
10.  His gravestone says June 14, 1831. St. Peter's Lutheran Church Records note his funeral on June 15, 1831. Knipe (3) records he was
        buried June 1,1831.
11.  A gravestone in the cemetery - Catherine peck, Daughter of Abraham and Mary peck, died November the 30, 1831, Aged Four years.
        (There is some possibility that the year could be '1834' - the stone is difficult to read.)
12.  Per the Index to Chester County Wills and Intestates - Yost Messersmith, East Whiteland, 1826 Intestate.
13.  Per the Index to Chester County Wills and Intestates - Samuel Griffith, Charlestown, 1827 Intestate.
14.  A gravestone in the cemetery - John, son of John and Catharine Linderman, born September 21st 1815, died October 15th 1829.
