3/20/1931 Callensburg News (view image) Mrs. Maggie Heeter and Mrs. Cora Tremaine were recent guests of relatives in Sligo. Charles Dunlap, of Detroit, Mich., is spending some time with his mother, Mrs. Carrie Dunlap. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Rhea spent last week at the M.T. Rhea home. Mr. and Mrs. James Dunlap and Mrs. Lydia Rolls were Pittsburgh visitors Tuesday. R.C. Heeter spent a few days in Pittsburgh over the weekend. Mrs. Albert Klingensmith and Mrs. Myrtle ** were Butler shoppers Tuesday. Lyle Snyder and family of Sligo spent the weekend at the D.L. Elliott home. Mrs. Sara Sherman of near Emlenton was a week end guest at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Heeter. Miss Ethel Penfield and Edward Craig of Brookville were Sunday afternoon callers at the H.A. Craig home. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Stover, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Switzer, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Craig and Thomas Craig were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Craig. The Sons of Union Veterans auxiliary recently celebrated the birthdays of Washington and Lincoln with an appropriate patriotic program. Guests for the evening were sons of veterans and others who are eligible to become members of a camp which it is hoped will be established in this place. On Friday evening auxiliary members and their guests enjoyed a meal time at the C.R. Rupert home. Features of the evening were a parcel post sale, games and contests. A lunch was served.
