11/29/1957 Revival in Williamsburg Closes After 3 Weeks by Mrs. George Snyder, Derrick correspondent (view image) WILLIAMSBURG - The revival meeting which was in progress in the Williamsburg Community Church the past three weeks closed Sunday evening with a number of converts. The evangelist Rev. Howard Kidd of North Carolina left Monday morning for Burnsides to hold a short revival. Mrs. Vincent Hanhold entertained a number of friends Tuesday evening in honor of her daughter, Linda's, 11th birthday. Those who attended the party were - Lynn and Sharon Hannhold, Trudy Myers, Susan and Joyce McFadden of Williamsburg and Ruth Ann Fox of Clarion. Linda received a number of beautiful gifts. The hostess served ice cream and cake. Mrs. Floyd Lewis had as dinner guests Sunday, Mrs. Pearl Hannold of Shippenville, Miss Mona Taylor of Maysville, Rev. and Mrs. Kidd of North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Lewis, Genevieve Lewis and F.D. Lewis of town. Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Best visited her sister, Mrs. Minnie Stubble of Turnip Hole. Donald Carnahan, who was under the doctor's care, has returned to work in his garage. Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Lewis were Sunday evening dinner guests of their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Kimes of Shippenville. Mrs. Harry Parks of Clarion has returned home after a short visit to Indiana and Kentucky and spent Wednesday at her daughters home in Williamsburg. She and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bashline, went Christmas shopping in Oil City. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. A.E.
