This cemetery was established in 1801. It has long been abandoned.
Some of
these old and broken stones can still be seen strewn around the woods where
this graveyard once resided. The list below was copied from a list done by
Mrs. Burton Crane prior to 1925.
John Gifford the oldest child of William S. and Sydney Allison Gifford is
known to be buried in Middlebrook. Died when an infant, abt. 1824.
He is
not on this list .
Middlebrook Church was the second earliest edifice
erected
in Erie County.
