Gaylene Kerr Banister has provided the following summary for those who would like to obtain their ancestors' naturalization papers.
Quote: The process is very simple. You can write, call or visit the Erie Co. Courthouse. Naturalization records are available for 1825-1940. I don't remember exactly what it cost, but when I visited there last summer, I obtained the records for 3 or 4 of my husband's ancestors and the *total* cost was something less than $10. The lady who works in the naturalization records is extremely helpful and very good:-) It took only a few minutes for her to locate and copy all the records I requested.
