A group of women met to organize the first DAR chapter in Franklin County. Because most of them lived in the Chambersburg area, they chose the name of the county for their chapter. Franklin County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution began June 25, 1919. Rocky Spring Presbyterian Church, site of their first meeting, is pictured on the left.
God, Home, and Country
For the last 90 years, members of our chapter have been active advancing the preservation, educational, and patriotic objectives of the DAR. We are looking forward to our future role in our community and supporting DAR activities. Some Scholarships are available.
