Had four children in Frederick before obtaining land warrant for Antis twp, Huntingdon-now- Blair Co and moving to PA abt 1809. Son Alexander b. abt 1779 and dau. Maria ("Mary") Magdalena b. 1783 never married and remained on original homesite. Elizabeth b. 1786 m. 1814 to Daniel DOMER. Son Daniel b. 1790 m. 1816 to Catharine ROOT, dau of Lemuel ROOT [Rev War] and Mary Magdalena SCHMIT / SMITH. Nearly all are buried in Antis Cemetery.

She married Thomas ANDERSON before 1854, place unknown, possibly Huntingdon County. They later settled in Indiana County. Joseph Earl Bailey, I am trying to find out anything I can about my father Joseph Earl Bailey. He left our family when I was about 3 years old at the time we lived at Neffs Mills Huntingdon County. I am looking for information on John and Samantha (FRAZIER) BAITH who lived in Huntingdon County from at least 1840 until after 1870. On the 1850 and 1860 census the surname was given as BEIGHT. On the 1870 and after census it is given as BAITH. There are still descendant living in the area today. Their children were George, Peter, Mary, Philip and Susan. I am especially interested in John's ancestors, I am trying to connect this Pennsylvania family to my family in Columbiana and Mahoning County, Ohio. There is evidence to suggest that they all came from Frederick County, Maryland and Germany before that.

BRADY FATHER JOHN Born in County Roscommon, Ireland c. 1820. Educated in seminary at Maynooth, Ireland. Ordained in Pittsburgh,PA in 1844 and assigned to the Hollidaysburg area. He later was pastor of a church in Huntingdon County. His sister, Mary Brady Knight, emigrated in 1880 with her children, John, Thomas and Patrick Knight and settled in Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. Father Brady apparently had sponsored a number of relatives from 1850-90. One niece remembers visiting some elderly Brady relatives, two gentlemen and a lady,who lived in a mansion-like house in Hollidaysburg in the 1920s. Looking for for information on Father Brady or other Bradys in Hollidaysburg area and Knights from Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh.

I'm most interested to extend John Brandon's line, because his ancestor is supposed to be Charles BRANDON, Duke of Suffolk (abt 1474-1545), who married Mary TUDOR, Henry VIII's sister. My line includes James BRANDON (1693-1758; m. Mary); John BRANDON (abt 1715-1774; m. Mary); Richard BRANDON (1788-1820; m. Anna PIERCEAL).

William, b. 1757, Maryland, m. Ruth Lane. They lived in Bedford County in the part that became Huntingdon County in 1787. Had one child, Joshua, b. 1787, when the county was Bedford. Also had William Brown Jr., b. 1781; Elisha, b. 10 July 1795; Elijah H., b. 1797 and were born when it was Huntingdon County. The dates may have some errors. Other children on which I have no birth dates are: Mary, Ellizabeth, Hannah and Sarah. I do not know when they left Pennsylvania but it would seem after Elijah was born, or sometime between 1797 and 1806. He was ordered to Sinking Valley during the Revolutionary War to help construct the Lead Mine Fort for defending the mine workers. He served 8 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bobby O. Reason unknown. My grandmother was less than a year old at the time. I am trying to find the parents of John Bratton. I believe his mther's name was Elizabeth. John was a cabinetmaker by trade. His brother David was a saddlemaker & as far as I know did not leave PA. Known children of John and Hanna Bratton are: Anna (1857-1869), Edward (1850-1873), Ula? (1855-1855), Lewisa (1856-1857), Nancy ( -1847); all five are buried in Nearhoof Cemetery in Huntingdon Co. I'm researching the above families of Huntington Co PA. I have information on RICKETTS & CHENEY families but am still looking for ancestors of John COTTON m to Mary RICKETTS. They later went to Holmes Co OH. Their dtr Nancy COTTON m Samuel EWING of Huntington Co. The EWINGS relocated to Beaver Co PA. where they died.
CRONE (CRON OR CRAUN)
I am searching for the CRONE family that was in the 1850 Huntingdon, PA census. Uriah, William, Joseph, and George were listed. I think Uriah, William and Joseph's father was Fergus Cron that died in VA. Some of the children went back to PA and Nehamiah CRON went to Tennessee. Any help of leads on this family would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for any info on Irvin Cross - my great grandfather. All we know is he married Clara Degenhardt of Hollidaysburg around 1909. Some think he came from Huntingdon county. His sons formed Cross's Ice Cream in Altoona.
