Surname Files

The Society maintains unrivaled collections of obituaries, wedding announcements, and other newspaper clippings and loose papers related to families in the area. These are categorized by surname in files in the Society's library. The materials which they contain are not available online, however we have over 25,000 surnames in our files.

To make for shorter loading times, surnames have been grouped by first letter. You may click on the relevant letter below to go to the list of surnames beginning with that letter. Don't forget, you may also want to search for alternate spellings of names.
