The Independence Hall Chapter is proud of our special projects, especially our work with the DAR Schools. In addition to saving Campbell's Soup labels for these schools, we contribute regularly to their libraries, and we provide special gifts for the needy children at Christmas time. |

The Independence Hall chapter took on a new project in the summer of 2003, that of refurbishing the Independence Park rose gardens. These gardens may be accessed from Walnut or Locust Streets between 4th & 5th Streets; markers were placed by the NSDAR in 1971 in honor of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and the PSSDAR added a marker in 1976 for the celebration of the Bicentennial. Our work on these gardens continues with assistance from volunteers knowledgeable in horticulture.
