Looking for information/connections of Patrick FEE. Appears Patrick was born Co Mayo, Ireland 1829-1835 possibly immigrated to Canada where some of the family may still live in the Hamilton area.
Patrick FEE enlisted in Co D 67th Ohio Infantry Volunteers in Toledo Ohio, was wounded in South Carolina 1863 and was discharged in Richmond, Virginia in 1865. His pension papers indicate that he might have been born March 11, 1829 somewhere in County Mayo, Ireland. Although throughout the papers his age changes. In one place he states he was 27 when he enlisted in 1862 which would indicate he was born in 1835.
He was wounded in the charge at Ft..Wagner Morris Island, SC and suffered considerably for the rest of his life. His leg was shattered below right knee, he limped and had considerable difficulty in walking. He could not stand and could not do manual labor. He also had lumbago, rheumatism in both arms and shoulders, impaired vision and heart disease. It appears his only income was the military pension which was $6 to 15 a month. He resided at National Military Soldiers Home in Leavenworth Kansas and in Columbus, Montgomery County, Ohio.
He also resided at 521 Franklin Ave and 839 South Ewing Ave, St. Louis, Missouri. He visited with his sister Ann FEE LAW WALTON 603 Luzerne St. Scranton, PA. The pension papers indicate that 1876-1886 he resided with relatives in the Southern part of Arkansas living off their charitable efforts.
It appears he might have spent his final years at the National Military Home in Ohio living to at least 1907 when he claimed to be 78 years old.

She refused to discuss her family but I have a theory that they probably disowned her after she married a man of Jewish heritage. She married B. Martin Kessler in Connecticut in 1941.
She did mention an Uncle Steven, but no further information on her parents.

My Grandfather, and Grandmother were married in this county Lackawanna County, PA. I would like to get a copy of there Marriage Application and Marriage License. There names were Charles Vasil Sabo/Saboe and Julia Hapak. I've seen Julia's last name mispelled as Harpak. They were married on May 07, 1913. Charles Vasil Sabo/Saboe also had a sister name Julia Sabo/Saboe, who married a Charles Yarchich. the year was about Abt. 1916. Charles also had a brother by the name of John Sabo/Saboe, he married in about the same time as the other two. How do I go about getting a copy of the marriage application and marriage license. Is there someone who could do a look-up for me. Also I am looking for a coal mine in Butler, PA. What County, is Butler in. Charles Vasil worked for a Coal mine in Butler from 1910-1916, according to another record that I have. I believe his brother, and proabaly worked for the same coal mine company. How would I go about looking for this coal company in Butler, PA.
Thanks for the help,
sincerely, Cathi Gross

Help...I am hitting a brick wall. I am researching my grandfather. Last name Czerw. Immigrated from Poland thru Baltimore Port. Married Julia Zombek and lived in HydePark and Taylor. Street in Taylor was Loomis Ave. Their marriage was between l900 and 1910. They had 5 sons who at at an early age were put into an orphnage because of financial circumstances. Julia was widowed and later married John Marek. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church and early on was a past president of American War Mothers, secretary of Polish Womens Alliance and a member of the Lincoln Heights Womens club. I came within 3 days of getting his Immigration and Naturalization Papers, they however burned in a house fire. Their son John still lives in Taylor. He physically is unable to give me any informaton. I believe they are buried in Cathedral Cemetary.

Searching for descendents of Evan (Elwyn) R. and Mary Ann Morgan. They were born and married in Wales and parented four sons in Wales. The family immigrated circa 1907/8. Evan and wife were in Washington State in the 1920 US Census along with son Richard (born circa 1893) and his wife Verna (born circa 1895 in PA).
Evan was killed in a mill accident in Washington in 1923. The obituary states that he was survived by four sons, three of whom were living in PA. The death certificate indicates that the body was sent by rail to Scranton, PA. Wife Mary Ann and son Richard and wife relocated to PA and have dropped off the radar screen.
I assume that the family, along with the other three sons, were in the Scranton or Lackawanna County area at least during the 1920s.
Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching my family history on the Davidson Family who resided in the Avoca Pa region in the 1800's. My grandfather was Arthur Davidson (b.1880?) who married a Sarah Jordan from Minooka Pa. He apparently conducted the West Avoca Orchestra before his untimely death at age 36. Arthur was the third child of his parents who had 8 children: Alice (Walsh), Catherine (Healey), Arthur, Willie, Sarah (Reap), Nellie, George, and John. My grandfather (Arthur Davidson) was killed in a coal mine accident around 1915-1917 while working for Hillside Coal and Mining Company (Consolidated). He left behind 5 children: Kathryn, Mary, Joseph, Frances, and Rita Davidson.
