PATRICK HURST looking for any information on Patrick Hurst and his family. Patrick was born in Ireland approx 1843. I do not know where in Ireland or his parents names. Patrick came to the US in the 1860's and settled in the Hyde Park area of Scranton, PA. He married Annie Reap and had a son, John (my grandfather, 1874) and a daughter, Mary (1873). I have found Patrick and Annie in the 1870 census but in the 1880 census they were not listed, but the children were living with Thomas Hurst family and Patrick Henigan family. Patrick and Annie Reap Hurst died and were buried in Cathedral Cemetery with an infant son, Henry, sometime before 1885. Patrick also had a brother, Thomas Hurst, who came to this country in 1863 and also settled in the Hyde Park section of Scranton. Any information on the Hurst family would be greatly appreciated.
