Donald R. Gardner, 41, of 5412 Samuel Ave., Ashtabula, OH, was found
dead in his car in front of his home at 9 a.m. Sunday. He had suffered a
heart attack.
Mr. Gardner was born in New Castle to the late
William Francis and Emma Gardner on Nov. 8, 1923. He was employed by
Tri-State Painting Co. for 20 years.
He was a member of St. Mary Church and Painters
Local 1216. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors are sisters, Martina M. Gardner of
Ashtabula, Mrs. John A. (Ritta Mae) Grodek of Cleveland and Sister Mary
Laboure CFA of De Paul Home in Cleveland; brothers, Edward W. of
Norwalk, CA, Francis M. of Lisbon, OH and Joseph M. of Ashtabula. He was
preceded in death by a brother, Eugene C. and a sister, Genevieve V.
Gardner.
Friends will be received at McGonigles.
