Samuel
Richard Johnston, age 74 years, of R.D.6, died this morning
following a three-month illness.
He was born in
Tennessee February 11, 1873, son of Wiley and Mary
Johnston. He had been married for 45 years to Mrs.
Charlotte Dover Johnston.
Besides his widow,
survivors include the following
children: Mrs. George (Bessie) Rusu of
Youngstown; Mrs. Alex (Beulah) Choco, Lucius
Johnston, Mrs. Grant (Beatrice) Fehrenbach, Arthur O. Johnston of
this city; William S. Johnston of
Shippensburg, Pa. and Leon S. Johnston of
U.S. Army, Germany. He also leaves brothers, Edward
of Texas and Jesse of Tennessee; 31
grandchildren and a great grandchild. Interment will be in Savannah
Cemetery.
