William F. (Francis)
Gardner,
75, formerly of RD 5, died at Jefferson, Ohio Tuesday after an illness of seven years duration. He was born March 15, 1884, a son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner [should be William L.
and Bridget Welch/Walsh Gardner]. His wife,
Emma, whom he married 51 years ago, survives him. His surviving children are:
Mrs. Martina Gardner, Jefferson, Ohio; Mrs. John (Rita May) Grocek, Cleveland;
Sister Laboure, Sister of Charity, St. Augustine Order, Columbia, SC;
Edward of Bell, Calif.; Joseph M. Jefferson, O.;
Eugene, New Castle; Francis M.,
Lisbon, O.; Donald R. of Spring Valley Calif. Surviving brothers are
Clement and Thomas of New Castle; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was in
St. Mary's Cemetery.
