William McCart


		William McCart William McCart was born 6 Sept 1847 in Co. Antrim, Ireland, the son of George and Sarah Shields McCart. He came to America at age 17 years and was married to Alicia Higgins in 1868. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Feb 9, 1918. William was a well known contractor and a devout member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. William McCart died 21 Nov 1918 in New Castle, PA, and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Castle. research submitted by Diana Begeman
