About UsMeetings & ProgramsThe Montour County Genealogical Society was founded in September 1999. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to the collection and preservation of information about families, past and present, of Montour County and to helping its families obtain the information they need to document their family heritage. Meetings are held quarterly, in March, June, September and December. Unless otherwise noted, all MCGS meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of these months at The Meadows Community Building adjacent to Maria Joseph Manor, Danville. A business meeting for members will begin at 6:30 followed by a program open to the public at 7:00 PM. Our current meeting and program schedule is listed below.
