[Note: The Quinby/Quimby Family, England and America, by Henry Cole Quinby 1915, says " Ephraim, son of Samuel, born 5 Feb 1792, near Warren, Ohio, a physician, was educated at Jefferson College, where he boarded with his sister Sarah and was a college mate of Dr. William Heaton, who married his cousin, Elizabeth. He lived at Marietta, Ohio. He married first, 12 July 1825, to Sarah, daughter of Maj. John and Priscilla (Devoe) White of Marietta, and resided there. The descendants all give her name as Sarah White; Mrs. Beebe and another say Sarah Guiteau; perhaps she had both names, she died at Marrietta.]
