H. H. ZEIGLER,
attorney, was born August 17, 1849, son of J. R. and Margaret A. (Bell)
Zeigler, natives of Montgomery and Mercer Counties, respectively, and
the parents of four children: Emma A., H. K, Frances E. and one who died
before maturity. Our subject was educated in the common schools, Grove
City Academy, New Wilmington College and Edinboro Normal; began reading
law in 1870 with James A. Stranahan, and was admitted to the bar in
1873, and has since continued practice. He was married in 1874 to Lizzie
Mason and has three children: Samuel, Jesse and Lizzie. He was appointed
United States commissioner in 1878 and still serves. He and wife are
members of the First Presbyterian Church and he is a Republican.
