I am interested in finding info. on Benjamin MEDBERRY (MEDBERY/MEDBURY) and his wife, Lydia GEORGE.  Benjamin was b. in Chautaqua Co., NY, and d. abt 1866 in Mercer Co., PA.  I am interesting in finding out when/where they were married, where they are buried, and her death date.
Seeking info. on Jonathan and Charity SOPHER.  Jonathan came to Mercer Co. from NJ around 1830.  I have no data on them.  Also seeking info. about Isaac SOPHER, son of Jonathan and Charity, and Orsina MEDBERY/MEDBERRY, dau. of Benjamin and Lydia.  Looking for marriage/death info.  Isaac and Orsina moved to Venango Co., PA.  Lydia lived with them after Benjamin died.  Isaac and Orsina's son, Gilbert (Bert) SOPHER, moved to WI as a young man.  Any info. appreciated.

Looking for info. on the family of William REED, d. 1845, age 84 years, buried in Wilson Cemetery in Espyville, Crawford Co., PA.  These families appeared to move across the county lines and into Trumbull and Ashtabula Co., OH as well.  Anna PELTON, b. 1792, m. __?__ REED, possible son of William REED.  He d. bef 1815 when she m. Solomon WATERS from Ashtabula Co., OH.

I am searching for info. on my great-great grandfather, Adam GEHM, m. Dec 2, 1851 to Anna Katherine KOLB.  I am not sure if they were m. in Mercer Co., but their first two children were b. in Greenville, Mercer Co.  They were Mary GEHM, b. Jun 23, 1853, and Barbara P. GEHM, b. Aug 20, 1856.  His wife and in-laws emigrated from Germany about May 11, 1850.  In all my family records, there is no mention of Adam GEHM coming with the KOLB family.  I can only guess that he may have already have been in the area when my KOLB ancestors arrived.  Can anyone help?

Louise FREEDENBERG (FREUDENBERG), b. ca 1835 in Germany, d. 1896.  Their first four children were b. in OH, but the last two were b. in Mercer Co. where family appears on 1870 and 1880 census records in Springfield Twp.  Children were as follows: Lovina Catherine BAUGHMAN, b. 1861, d. 1944, m. 1883 to Milton Sylvester HECKMAN, b. 1859, d. 1899, son of Peter HECKMAN and Sarah PAULEY of Delaware Twp., Milton and Lovina lived in Youngstown, OH after 1891; William BAUGHMAN, b. 1862, d. 1933, m. Anna BROWN; Charles George (Charlie) BAUGHMAN, b. 1865, d. 1941, m. Ida NUNEMAKER, b. 1869, d. 1933; Matilda Margareta Louisa (Lou) BAUGHMAN, b. 1867, d. 1942, m. Will CARRINGER, b. 1860, d. 1921; James BAUGHMAN, b. 1867, d. ?, served in Spanish-American War, but whereabouts unknown after early 1900's; and Emma Maria BAUGHMAN, b. 1871, d. 1909/10, m. Robert ALEXANDER.  William and Charlie lived in Oil City, Louisa lived in Greenville.  A Henry and Catherine BAUGHMAN, J.W. BAUGHMAN, F. FREEDENBERG may be related to family in Mercer Co.  Will exchange info.

Also looking for info. on the families of Peter HECKMAN, b. 1834 in LeHigh Co., d. 1895 in Delaware Twp., Mercer Co., m. Sarah PAULEY, b. 1834, d. 1906.  Both are buried at St.John's Lutheran Cemetery.  They appear in Delaware Twp. in both the 1870 and 1880 census records.  Their oldest son, Milton Sylvester HECKMAN, b. 1859, d. 1899, m. 1883 to Lovina Catherine BAUGHMAN, b. 1861, d. 1944, dau. of William BAUGHMAN and Louisa FREEDENBERG (see above).  Milton and Lovina were living in the Youngstown, OH area by 1891.  Milton was killed in a railroad accident in 1899 but Lovina and their 4 children remained in Youngstown.  Their other children: Ellen HECKMAN, b. 1861, thought to have m. Fred MOYER; Louisa HECKMAN, b. 1863, m. __?__ REIGLEMAN; Elizabeth (Lizzie) HECKMAN, m. __?__ LANKOW; William HECKMAN, b. 1868, m. Fannie or Faucie __?__; Frances HECKMAN, b. 1870, d. 1943, m. Harry OFFENSEND, they lived in Youngstown; James E. HECKMAN, b. 1871, m. Fannie __?__, they lived in Youngstown at first, but may have returned to the Greenville area; Dora HECKMAN b. 1879, d. 1962, m. William D. WILLIAMSON, b. 1874, d. 1964, they lived in Greenville.  Will exchange info.

Looking for ancestry and any other available info. on Horace STREETER, b. 14 Oct 1816 in NY, and Harriett WHEATON, b. 11 Mar 1817 in Pompey, Duchess Co., NY.  Horace and Harriett m. ca 1837, and Horace and family appear in the 1840 census of Salem Twp., Mercer Co., PA.  Children were: Wallace, b. ca 1838 in PA; Sophia/Savia, b. ca 1839 in PA; Thomas Harrison, b. 24 May 1842 in PA; Rebecca A., b. ca 1846 in PA; Mary Elizabeth, b. 23 Apr 1848 in PA; Orville O., b. 30 Jan 1850 in Gratiot, Lafayette Co., WI; Louisa, b. ca 1854 in WI; and James, b. ca 1856 in WI.  Harriett d. 30 Jun 1889, Horace d. 17 Jul 1889, both buried in Sunset View Cemetery, Washta, Ida Co., IA.  New evidence suggests that this Horace is not the son of Rev. Sebastian STREETER and Ruth RICHARDSON.

My great-great grandfather was John HALL.  He was b. Jan 3, 1803 in Fairview Twp., Butler Co., PA, d. Jul 26, 1886 at his sister's (Elizabeth McCLAIN)  home in Harrison Co., OH.  He had a sister Frances PHIPPS, a brother William HALL, and another sister Elizabeth McCLAIN.  His first wife was Mary NEARON, second wife was Aleinda __?__, and third wife was Sarah __?__.  John HALL was a tanner and lived most of his adult life in the city of Allegheny (Pittsburgh northside) and in Pittsburgh.  John HALL's obituary ends with "Sharon please copy."  The obituary was published in a Pittsburgh newspaper.  The reference to "Sharon" leads me to believe that he had relatives in Mercer Co., PA since the Sharon newspaper was alerted to publish his obituary.  Any info. would be appreciated.

My grandfather, George J. BAKER, was b. Mar 22,1867 in PA, son of George W. and Mary A. BAKER.  We don't know where in PA.  Don't know if there were siblings.  We found a George W. BAKER in Beaver Co., but don't know if there is a relationship.  George J. BAKER m. in Norfolk, VA and raised his children in NC.  Sure would like to know if I have relatives in Mercer Co.  Any help would be wonderful.

Is there anyone who can identify or link to their family the James and Henry BRANDON that appear listed next to one another in the censuses of 1820 to 1840 for Wolf Creek Twp., Mercer Co., PA?  James disappears from the 1850 census, however the following is shown for the family of Henry:  Henry BRANDON, age 64, farmer, 1350 acres, b. in PA; Jane BRANDON, age 61, b. in PA; Sarah BRANDON, age 30, b. in PA; Samuel BRANDON, age 21, farmer, b. in PA; Martha BRANDON, age 18, b. in PA; Louisa L. BRANDON, age 15, b. in PA.  From another source, a list of the officials of Wolf Creek Twp. 1820-1830, includes James BRANDON as constable and both James and Henry as supervisors.  Any comment on the origins of this family would be most helpful.

I am seeking any info. about my grandmother.  Her name given at birth was Virginia PRUITT.  She had a sister named Hazel PRUITT.  She was b. abt 1906 in VA, m. Frank HURDLE from NJ.  She had a daughter named Dorothy June HURDLE, b. Jun 24, 1929 in Cleveland, OH.  Virginia PRUITT's mother m. a man by the name of COLE, possibly Charles COLE.  I believe they lived in OH near Shalersville.  It is believed that the PRUITT girls grew up there.  The last info. I have on Virginia is that she had m. a man named DAVIS.  Her last known address is 22 Davis Drive, Sharpsville, PA 16150, dating to the early 1970's.  Any info. about Virginia PRUITT HURDLE DAVIS, or her sister Hazel PRUITT, or any of their families would be greatly appreciated.

The main Mercer Co. surnames that I am seeking info. on are BATES, BETTS, and YOUNGBLOOD.  I have a lot of info. on BATES and BETTS, but am always seeking more.  BATES' and BETTS' helped settle Mercer Co. and are written up in the history books.  Andrew BETTS was a Revolutionary War vet who donated the land for the State Line Church and Cemetery.  Please contact me if you have any info.  Thanks.

Hannah RICE.  John and Hannah REED sold a parcel of land in Slippery Rock Twp. to William EMERY on 2 Jun 1836.  John REED d. 1845 in Muskatine, IA.  A dau., Sophia REED, was b. 21 Aug 1824 in Mercer Co., PA.  I am anxious to share what I know.

I have just started trying to trace back the genealogy of my family surname DEAN.  I reside in Pulaski Co., MO.  From what I have found so far, all of my family's roots apparently point back to the Mercer Co., PA area.  William Crocker DEAN is the name of my possible gg-grandfather.  The break I have starts with my grandfather Sylvester (Vester) DEAN.  I know there is a connection between Sylvester DEAN and William Croker DEAN, but I haven't been able to point to it.  Any info. would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Looking for any info. on the family of Elihu and Harriet MERRILL BRIDDELL (BRIDELL) who moved to Salem Twp., Mercer Co. from Worcestor Co., MD prior to the Civil War.  They had the following children: Elizabeth, m. ? BOLSTER; Charlotte Ann, m. Andrew TODD; Isaac; Nancy; Levi Merrill, m. Lovisa FAIRCHILD; Elihu, m. Andrew TODD's sister; Harriet E.; Mariah E.; and Alanson.  Some of the family later moved to IN, then on to MN.  Thanks.

Looking for info. on William EASTLICK, living in Delaware Twp. on the 1830 census.  He m. abt 1818 to Jane McDONALD.  She was b. 4 Dec 1803 in PA.  Would like to find date of their marriage.  They had a son, Sanderson, which may be a given name in her family.  William and Jane removed to LaGrange Co., IN by 1840 where she d. 18 Mar 1878.  Also looking for a marriage of Lorinda EASTLICK to possibly a George W. REED.  Alexander EASTLICK was living in Cool Springs Twp. on the 1850 census.  He is shown living with a Nancy, age 36, b. in PA, with the following children: Catherine, age 14, b. probably Trumbull Co., OH and then the family probably moved back to Mercer Co. where rest of children were born; William, age 11; Nancy, age 9; Sarah, age 7; James, age 5; Martha and Rosanna, age 3, twins; and Joseph, age 2/12.  Has anybody ran across this family?  Any info. on the EASTLICK family would be greatly appreciated.

Jacob OMSTEAD and his wife, Elizabeth VANNATIE??, were living in French Creek Twp. on the 1830 census.  I think they came to Mercer Co. sometime around 1820 from Fallowfield, Crawford Co.  The following children were b. in Mercer Co.: Anna, b. 11 Oct 1820; Jacob Jr., b. 8 Sep 1824; and Nelson Gidem OMSTEAD, b. 30 May 1831.  The family moved west to LaGrange Co., IN by 1833.  There were a couple of children they were supposed to have had that I have been unable to find: John, Jonathan, Luricia, and Betsey.  Is there anybody that might have any info. on this family?  Thanks.
