Seeking info. on my great grandfather, James Cordon STEWART, b. Oct 3, 1840 in Mercer Co.  Especially interested in determining parents.  Have searched 1850 census currently available, no positive match yet.  J.C. STEWART served Union in Civil War, unit and rank unknown, wounded, held in Andersonville prison.  He m. Oct 13, 1864 to Ruth Caroline EMERY, b. Jul 21, 1841 in  Mercer Co.  Have found Ruth C. and her parents, Jacob and Jane (HUMPHREY) EMERY, in 1850 census in Hickory Twp.  Date of move to Mercer Co. by Jacob and Jane unknown.  Both buried Clarksville Cemetery.

I am researching my ancestor, Elijah William HODGE, b. 1843, d. 1933.  He came to the U.S. in late 1860's and naturalized in 1869.  He m. (1) Ann Eliza who d. 1874 and buried in Shenango Valley Cemetery.  He m. (2) 1874 to Angeline SCOTT.  My query is what was Ann Eliza's maiden name?  What happened to her son, John HODGE, and dau., Roda HODGE?  Is there a book available on tombstone inscriptions on Shenango Valley Cemetery?  Thanks!

Brown BUNDY of Rochester, NY.  Had four siblings: Levi Warren, Hartwell S., Seward H., and Harriet M. (GILLIS).  Levi Warren BUNDY was my grandfather and left NY in 1876 for Republican Co., KS.  Moved to Glenwood, IA in 1880 and then to Lincoln, Alma, Oxford, and Edison, NE where he was in the hotel business.  Levi Warren BUNDY was b. 2 Apr 1843 in Rochester, NY and d. 26 Jul 1924 in Edison, NE.  Above info. taken from obituary of Levi Warren.

John McCOY.  What happened to his other daus.: Agnes; Harriet; Julie; and Mary?  Can anyone help me locate these daus.?  Also, looking for Isaac RICHMOND's 3 sisters: Elizabeth, b. 1770; Martha, b. 1772; and Esther, b. 1774.  The family lived in Washington Co., PA.  I later found Isaac living in Mercer Co.  He d. 1817.

Eliza Jane SANFORD (STANFORD), b. abt 1830.  They had a dau., my g-grandmother, named Ella Jane HUNTER, b. 1865, d. 1940 in San Bernardino, CA, m. Andrew Curtis FERGUSON.  She and her husband lived in Lamar, IN most of her life.  She was the postmistress and he was the railroad agent in Lamar.  All we have on Alexander R. HUNTER is the above info. and a picture that shows he was a soldier in the Union Army from Sandy Lake, PA.  Does this individual tie into anyone's family line?  If so, we can provide a great deal of info about that line in exchange for your info.

I found great-grandpa!  James Alexander RAMSEY is listed in the 1860 Mill Creek Twp., Mercer Co., PA census with his parents, Isaac RAMSEY and Barbara KEENER.  I also discovered that the name of Barbara's father was George KEENER.  Isaac RAMSEY is supposed to have been b. Apr 16, 1817 in Lycoming Co., PA, and m. Aug 9, 1838 in Mercer Co., PA to Barbara KEENER who was b. Nov 9, 1822 in Taylor Co., KY, which is where James ended up in 1900 with his wife and 6 of their 7 kids.  Isaac RAMSEY's father is supposed to be Daniel George RAMSEY, b. 1776 in Philadelphia, PA, m. Susannah WISE.  He is the only child I have listed for George RAMSEY, b. 1744 in Scotland, and his wife Elizabeth CHARCOTE.  I would like to know who the children are of all these couples: (1) George and Elizabeth (CHARCOTE) RAMSEY; (2) Daniel George and Susannah (WISE) RAMSEY; (3) Isaac and Barbara (KEENER) RAMSEY.  Thanks for any help and good luck with your searches!
