How do I get a death certificate for one of my ancestors?

For death certificates before January 1906, write to the 

         Register of Wills

For death certificates after January 1906, write to the

         Pennsylvania Division of Vital Records
         State Department of Health

or phone (724) 656-3100 for information.  

When you send off for the certificate, you'll need to state your relationship to the deceased, and supply some information about the deceased.  Cost is $3.00 per death certificate.  Get more information.
