J. Peter Urey lived in Springfield Township, Mercer 

County, from 1790 until his death 3 Jun 1861.

 

According to J. Peter Urey's pension application for the War of 1812, dated October 1872, he was married to Margaret Richael on the 5th day of April 1808 at Springfield Twp, Mercer County, by William McMillan, JP. Margaret Richael Urey died on March 3, 1866, and he never remarried.


J. Peter Urey was the son of Adam Uhrig and his wife Catherina.   J. Peter Urey was the father of my gg-grandfather, Daniel Urey, who also lived his life in Mercer County.

J. Peter Urey is buried in Blacktown Cemetery.
