Dear and most
Respected friend.
I received your letter about an hour ago and was glad
to hear from you and all the rest of the folks....we
have been twenty six days without a mail but it has com
at last. I do not know when we will get north. there is
a full company of us and over to go. we have not don any
thing since we came here the weather is getting very
warm here we have good time here now we have nothing to
do but to eat and sleep and that is not hard on us but I
would like to go north on this boat but we will not get
off....Berries are getting ripe here. I saw my Liut and
he stated or told me that he sent a letter to you and
all so Hallocks knapsack there is....
