Albert
Moors, 48, was killed in a cave-in at Number 2 Mine near
Leesburg on 22 June 1927. Albert was born 14 June 1879 at Mt. Pleasant,
Cheshire, England, to John and Elizabeth Cox Moors. He married Mary
Hancock on 8 June 1908 in the parish church of Odd Rode, Cheshire, and
immediately left for Mercer Co., Pa. arriving in New York on 18 June
1908.
He is survived by his wife Mary and daughters, Mary Joyce, Elizabeth,
Winifred Madge, and Isobel, and son Robert William. He was preceded in
death by his parents and daughters, Margaret Evaline, Phyllis Ellen, and
Kathleen Susan and son Albert Donald.
Burial will be at the Leesburg
Cemetery on 25 June 1927.
