Church of the Nazarene

 

This congregation in Sharpsville was organized in 1939 with the meetings held in a building on Shenango Street.  After three years thy moved in the old Presbyterian Church on Main Street.  On April 1, 1941 they moved to the church formerly occupied by the United Brethren which is located at the corner of Ridge Avenue and Eighth Street.

There were 19 charter members at the time of organization.  Rev. Stewart is the present pastor [1974].  The Nazarene denomination continues today larger and with greater vitality than ever before.  A recreation hall has been added to accommodate many social activities.
