Springfield
Falls, A small settlement a short distance north-east of
Leesburg, was settled some time after the latter place, and is really a
part of it. It contains a planing-mill, saw-mill, and a number of
dwellings. A small creek flowing through the place affords excellent
water-power, and there are two dams across it within a distance of
one-fourth of a mile.
